![]() ![]() I then happened to glance out of the window and what should I see but a rainbow. As I cried, I called out to God, asking Him to help because I didn’t know what to do in the situation. But then in turn I became out of control. I ended up getting really worked up over something that was basically out of my control. After the Sunday where I felt God speaking to me about it and I brushed it away, the following day was terrible. In my last blog, I spoke about how I needed to break through in worship and prayer by kneeling before God. Proverbs 28:20: “A faithful man will abound with blessings.” Lean on God in all things and He will never let you down. More than that, He can equip you for every task.īe faithful to Christ and you will receive the gift of life, handle everything with care and consideration (circumstances, situations, people) and control your tongue, your attitude, your anger and trust God to make all things well. You can find the good in everything and be a great representative of Christ on earth. He can give you patience so that you can do His will and be kind to everyone even when you don’t get kindness in return. ![]() God can give you a spirit of peace that surpasses all understanding. And the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The Lord is near! Do not be anxious about anything, Instead in every situation with prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. God wants us to live a stress free life so why add more stress by thinking of all the negative things that have gone wrong or could go wrong? Humble yourselves therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you. ![]() He will ease your burden and lighten your load of stress whenever you ask. Leave all your worries and stress with the Lord. We can sacrifice anything to the Lord, even our worries and stress.Ĭast your burden on the Lord and he will sustain you he will never permit the righteous to be moved. In this season of Lent, it reminds me of what God sacrificed for us and challenges us as to what we can sacrifice for Him. Make the bold choice today to love one another. Try to do what is good and right and honourable as agreed upon by all people. 'Do not retaliate with evil, regardless of the evil brought against you. 'Avoid thinking you are better than others or wiser than the rest instead, embrace common people and ordinary tasks.' 'Work toward unity, and live in harmony with one another.' 'If people mistreat or malign you, bless them. A choice that can be even harder when it comes to loving people who actively offend and hurt us. Love isn't about feeling soft and squishy it's a choice. ‘If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them' Luke 6:32 When it comes to loving enemies, strangers and people who watch 'Love Island', it can be REALLY hard! You know why I think we are given so much education, direction and instruction on love from the Bible? Because it's hard! Don't get me wrong, I find it easy to love my wife and kids for sure, although it does still have its challenges. ![]() The Bible tells us WHAT love is, HOW to love and WHY we should love. The Bible tells us what NOT to love - don't love money, other gods, the things of the world. I could have picked from dozens of scriptures because the Bible is packed with references to love - love God, love your neighbour, love your enemy, love the weak, love strangers and foreigners. "Let me give you a new command: Love one another. Today, I want to give you something that is irrefutable however you interpret it: love There are many things Christians hold different views on when it comes to our faith and the Bible. ![]()
